The
ScanMaster™ sorting machine is increasingly being used by the plastics market, both
in inspection of virgin pellets where resolution is of the up most importance, as well as
in the recycling market of flaked plastics, where capacity and flexibility are required.
The payback on the capital investment is very short, and many of the ScanMaster™
customers have extended their capacities by adding additional units. One of the more
noteworthy features of the ScanMaster™ is the built in "auto normalizing"
feature, wherein a sophisticated software algorithm makes constant minor adjustments to
each of the channels, insuring that all are firing at the same rate. The result ?
Unparalleled accuracy in removal of objectionable material with a very good defect
concentration.

High Resolution is
made possible through the use of custom-made, high density CCD technology. An exclusive,
patented circuit allows the operator to define acceptable shades of colour, as well as
maximum acceptable size of defects.
