Rollermill

The SRM range of rollermills incorporates the latest engineering and
electronic technologies in a compact machine with great strength and capacity. Available
in 1,000mm (40 inch) and 1,250mm (50 inch) length versions and the SRMD 2-High model.
An
innovative HTD toothed belt differential drive reduces noise levels and provides a robust,
clean and virtually maintenance-free drive system.
Mounting
the pairs of main grinding rolls, together with their bearings and fittings, in a
removable "Roll-Pack" assembly allows rolls to be changed with the absolute
minimum of machine down-time.
A
microprocessor monitors speed of change of the level of material in the sight glass and
intelligently adjusts the feeder-roll speed to maintain a constant level. Contributing to
consistent mill operation & finished product quality.
The
mechanism to set the degree of ‘grind’ ensures that the machine always returns
to exactly how the operator set it, irrespective of how many times the machine is engaged
and disengaged. Automated setting is available as an optional extra.
The
Automated Roll Setting System has micro-controllers in each rollermill, networked with a
central control system. The central control can remotely reset the grind on any of
rollermills. The adjustment is achieved using high-precision stepper motors that providing
adjustment in 10µ (4/10,000ths inch) units. An operator can manually adjust a
rollermill and transmit the new setting to the central control memory.
A high
level of sanitation is a primary design requirement. There are no internal dust-traps and
exterior is a smooth, easy clean, design.
